Applications are invited for a permanent lectureship post in Spanish in the Department of Languages. You will join a busy and exciting Department which produces a range of distance learning language courses for all levels of undergraduate study.
You will be working in the team that prepares and manages the materials, support, and delivery of these courses. You will contribute to the planning, writing and updating of courses and other materials in Spanish. Academic work typically includes contributing to the development and maintenance of courses, preparation of assignments and examination papers, monitoring of assessment and contact with students through forums etc.
You will be a language graduate, with a PhD in a relevant discipline, a native or near native competence in Spanish, and have the ability to communicate clearly in English. You must have experience of curriculum development and course design and be prepared to engage in research related to language teaching and learning. You should also have a strong commitment to the use of technology in language teaching and learning.
