The Department of Modern and Foreign Languages at Benedictine College invites outstanding teacher-scholars to apply for a tenure-track position in Spanish linguistics beginning August 1, 2016. Minimal requirements are a Master's degree in Spanish Linguistics; the ideal candidate would be seeking or have completed a Ph.D. in Spanish by May 2016. Candidate must be qualified to teach courses in linguistics, including Introduction to Hispanic linguistics, phonetics and phonology, as well as special topics, and beginning and intermediate-level Spanish language courses. The ideal candidate will be a generalist who embraces teaching all levels of courses, including those in the general education program. Review of applications will begin December 1 and will continue until the position is filled.
