My thesis, 'Wealth, Poverty and Social Mobility in Restoration Spain: A Critique of Liberal Society in the Novelas contemporáneas of Benito Pérez Galdós' (University of Sheffield, 2017), is the winner of the 2017 Peter Bly Award. It has now been accepted for publication by Tamesis (Boydell and Brewer), and it is expected to be released in August 2017 under the title 'Rich and Poor in Nineteenth-Century Spain: A Critique of Liberal Society in the Later Novels of Benito Pérez Galdós'.
