XVI Congreso AELFE 2017: LSP in Multi-disciplinary Contexts of Teaching and Research

We think that in a constantly evolving international scenario, it is necessary to revise the roles of LSAP (languages for specific and academic purposes) and translation as part of multi-disciplinary contexts for teaching and research. We consider multi-disciplinary approaches as highly important for the integration of different professionals from different fields not only in Humanities but also Science and Technology. AELFE 2017 intends to bring together researchers, academics, and language professionals with a genuine concern in these areas, along with academics and experts from other fields.

This conference aims to address issues involving research and teaching applications of LSP and translation which may require more than one disciplinary scope for analysis and projection. We aim to gather quality research proposals dealing with such aspects not only in tertiary education, but also business / technology-oriented contexts. The goals are thus to have interesting thematic threads via presentations and discussions where colleagues may share their work and experience. Ultimately, we also aim to publish collections of presentations and selected papers derived from the conference.
