Assistant /Associate Professor of Spanish-Linguistics

The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University at Albany seeks a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Spanish Linguistics to teach, conduct research, and provide service to the Spanish program, LLC department and the University. 

Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Spanish Linguistics in hand by August 2018 from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization 
- Native or near native fluency in Spanish and English are required. 
- Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with a culturally diverse population. 

Preferred Requirements: 
- Preferred specialization is in an area of Spanish syntax/morphology or in Spanish historical linguistics. 
- The ideal Assistant Professor candidate will show significant potential for high-quality research and teaching. 
- The ideal Associate Professor candidate will have demonstrated evidence of an established research profile and excellent teaching and mentoring credentials.
