Teaching-Track Faculty Positions in Spanish Language

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California seeks applicants for full-time lecturer positions to teach all levels of the Spanish language for the 2017-2018 academic year. Ability to teach Portuguese desirable.

Requirements: M.A. or Ph.D. in Spanish, Second Language Acquisition, Applied Linguistics, or related field; demonstrated excellence in communicative language teaching at the college level. Availability to teach early morning and/or evening courses. The department highly values ACTFL OPI Superior rating in Spanish and familiarity with ACTFL standards. Complete dossier will consist of: letter of interest; statement of teaching philosophy; CV; the names of three individuals who will be contacted by USC for a letter of reference (referees should speak to teaching abilities); and recent teaching evaluations. URL to edited teaching video ≤ 10 minutes is desirable but not mandatory.
